MIAM / Pre-Mediation Meeting
- Your MIAM is a private, one-to-one meeting where you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about family mediation and how the process works.
- We’ll explain what you can expect from mediation, discuss your individual circumstances and give you the opportunity to raise any questions or concerns before deciding on the next steps.
- Appointments can be arranged flexibly to suit your availability and are usually held online via Zoom.
Mediation Sessions
- Each mediation session provides a structured and confidential space to discuss the issues that matter to you, with the support of an impartial family mediator.
- Sessions can last for up to 90 minutes, allowing time to explore concerns, consider possible solutions and work towards practical agreements.
- Where your mediation involves arrangements for children, you may be eligible for the *Government Family Mediation Voucher Scheme. If eligible, funding may cover the full cost of your second mediation session.
